Five Star Automotive Group Is Making Big Moves By Buying Up Car Dealerships In Ohio

Five Star Automotive Group is rapidly expanding across the country. With three new dealership purchases in the Cleveland, Ohio area, they’re solidifying their presence in the Midwest.

Five Star Automotive, a multi-state car dealership company, has expanded its presence in the Midwest with a chain of multiple dealership purchases. These dealerships were under many big names, including Honda, Mitsubishi, and Toyota. It’s a big move for the company, which is sizing up to be one of the largest dealership chains in the U.S., all while still being family-owned.

Five Star Automotive’s recent purchases in Ohio

Samachar Central notes that, on June 28, Five Star Automotive Group bought three dealerships from Sunnyside Automotive Group. These locations included Sunnyside Honda and Sunnyside Mitsubishi, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and what was previously known as Sunnyside Toyota in North Olmsted, Ohio.

With these purchases complete, it marks the first Honda and Mitsubishi dealership purchases for Five Star and its first locations in Ohio.

North Olmsted and Middleburg Heights are suburban locations found southwest of Cleveland, Ohio. The stores have since been renamed Honda of Middleburg Heights, Middleburg Heights Mitsubishi, and Westside Toyota. Five Star Automotive also bought five dealerships from Mike Raisor Automotive Group in Lafayette, Indiana in February 2021.

Where else does Five Star Automotive own dealerships?

According to Five Star Automotive, they operate in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and Indiana. They sell a dazzlingly wide selection of new and used cars, and some certified pre-owned vehicles, too.

Five Star Automotive currently sells Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Ford, Lincoln, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Mazda, Volkswagen, and Audi vehicles. Owing in part to their size, the car dealership company also seems to have a vast inventory of used vehicles.

Five Star also offers service centers and even has collision repair centers in Georgia and South Carolina.

Five Star seems to offer more perks than most car dealerships

Let’s be honest: No one likes going to a car dealership, but Five Star Automotive seems a little bit better than others. The company has a lifetime powertrain warranty on all new vehicles, and in its founding state of Georgia, they’re involved in multiple charity events.

Most notable is their Five Star Celebrity Classic, which has been a celebrity-attended, charity golf tournament hosted annually since 1989. Past competitors have included Hank Aaron, Franco Harris, Darius Rucker, and sports stars like Kevin Brown and Russell Henley.
